Designed to hold a standard-sized tea light candle, this cute little candle holder was made from a branch Sean rescued from a firewood pile!
We were having a "back yard date", and he couldn't bring himself to throw this one in the fire. A split in the log had a lot of beautiful, curly grain, so he tossed it in the back of the truck!
There's a section of light-colored spalting on the underneath. Spalting happens when fungi work their way through the wood and take nutrients from it.
There's also a bit of curl on the outer edge, when you move the piece around in the light, you can see movement "underneath" the surface.
